As runners/athletes, we try to avoid injuries at any cost. The coaches at A Snail's Pace Running Academy are dedicated to keeping you strong so that that you are not dealing with injuries. Our workshop on "Running Foundations" and our "Functional Warm-up" we execute prior to our runs is a big part of building your reserves which is proven to help avoid many injuries. Also the workshop on "Good Form Running" is designed to help you become a more efficient and educated runner which will also help you avoid injuries.
Unfortunately, even with the best coaching,training and education, injuries are still possible. Listening to your coach and following our evidence based structured training program can reduce this risk, but there still is risk.
So....What do you do if any injury arises? Do you just give up? NO WAY!!!
This workshop is so important for every level of runner.
Hear how to first and foremost avoid the common pitfalls that can lead to a running injury. If you do find yourself dealing with an injury what can you do? You cannot just stop training. Your body has adapted to working out and it's feeling good but maybe you have an area that is not cooperating. Learn how you can continue to train and keep building your cardio and strength without adding extra stress to a injured area.
This is a newer, very innovative concept of training through an injury. You must understand the concept so that you can do this without causing yourself further damage.
