Introduction

I've been section hiking for a while now in 2 - 3 day hikes. Eventually I will have to do weeklong hikes for more distant sections. I've hiked from the Hudson R. in NY to the northern part of the Green Mtn. section in VT plus some bits.

Have you done much hiking?

Yes. I lead a large hiking meetup based out of CT - Hartford Area Hiking (http://hiking.meetup.com/151 )

Have you ever backpacked a long distance?

Yes.

Would you be willing to devote a week of your vacation time to backpacking in the mountains?

Yes.

What do you hope to get out of membership? What can the group offer you?

I can offer currently 2-3 day section hiking and eventually longer hikes. I usually open up my section hiking to the membership of my hiking group. Teaming for the more southerly sections of the AT are where it is likely this group helps.

Almost went, but instead of buying good, winter hikers the night before, chose to go dancing at Cadillace Ranch instead! My low hikers not good for deep stuff, and my "snow boots" are the Wal-mart variety! Next time....hope you've been well.
