Re: [ATLphotoMeetup] Location for Maternity Photos

I prefer Muslim however make sure it has been ironed (rid of Wrinkles). Vinyl seems to get a glare in places(for me).  It's getting cold to have maternity shoots outside. :)
I myself have not done much, so I could not give much in advice for sites.

We're surprised at the people who have not attended a shoot, either paid or free, and have never met Eric or anyone with this Meetup group, and yet who still have an opinion to post.  Also, many of these same folks admit they have never been to a shoot because of their belief that 'they are geared toward professional photographers' only.

Over the last 3 years of our membership to this Meetup, we have attended events, paid & free, both as photographers and models, and we have seen every level of photographer present, from those with hugely expensive equipment to those with point & shoots.  Every photographer present at these events has been treated equally and with respect, from what we've experienced, first hand.

Advise for settings, etc. comes pouring out of Eric, at both paid & free events, as the light & subjects change, as well as explanations for those settings.  It's been our experience that no one is singled out, good or bad, and we've learned a good many things.  The shots from the photographers in attendance have been amazing, as evidenced from the posts on the Meetup.  Perhaps that's why some of you think we are all professionals at these events?

As for networking at a planned photo shoot, there is a time & place for that and it was apparently decided by this Meetup's owner, as is his perogative, that an organized shootout is not the time nor the place.  The animosity created by being told 'no' upon asking for same is shocking.  Judgements on Eric or anyone else seem to be much easier made in the 'anonymous' format of the internet.  Sad.  Those who have never attended an event should come out to one and see for yourself.  At least then you will have had the benefit of forming an opinion based on fact and not conjecture or the accusations of only some.

Our own experiences with this group & with Eric will keep us coming back, and this said without ever having watched a single kitten video.

GIRL FIGHT !

Eric you were wrong for ?My security will kick your ass ? reading between the lines comment.

Its Erics event if he wants to charge .02 or $10,000 you have a choice to go or not go so don?t complain if its not worth it to you don?t go !

If Eric is  the originator and he promotes his business so what, nothing is free not even freedom.

If this is your hobby pay the fee . If your hobby is not worth $25 per month find a new one try bird watching in Woodriff park .

?trade stories and techniques,?  < so you want to lean to shoot for free

"real face" of photography in Atlanta?, meaning that it basically sucks these days - whats does that mean maybe sucks for you

i personally would NEVER pay ANOTHER photographer to procure hot young chicks (i mean "models") ? ummm you should reconsider that

I was originaly going to poke a little fun at Eric for his response but after reading this SOME of yall just want FREE, learn for FREE hangout for free, network for FREE.

If Harry want to hire some photogs so that he can make a profit then Eric is not out of line asking for payment. Threatening to have security bitch slap Harry (again reading between the lines) may not have been the vehicle to do that.

Reading the commits Eric seems to be a bit curt how many of you have said thanks Eric with a six pack of beer, or jumped in and assisted?

After yall embarrassed Eric at Six feet under how many went over to have lunch and thank the manger and apologize?

Sound like a group of takers to me !

Eric you?re a mean boy (hand slap)
Harry if money is the motive (pay up)
If you just want ?Give Us Free? this is not the Amastad
If you?re happy and content KEEP SHOOTING

PS. misspelled word and bad grammar left in to give ass holes something to do !
