Dance Central New York Zambra Workshop Series
Dance Central New York (DCNY) is pleased to announce Staten Island’s first Zambra dance series workshop, beginning Sunday, January 15, 2012. This four (4) week intensive workshop will introduce the Moorish dance of southern Spain to beginner and advanced dancers interested in learning the basic movements of the Zambra!
The Zambra, also known as the Zambra Mora is a flamenco dance performed by the Romani people of Granada, Spain which is believed to have evolved from earlier Moorish dances and has some similarities to belly dancing.
