Join Bob Metcalfe and Others for ‘A New America’ Event Underwritten by Microsoft on March 25

This is an invitation to our members of the ATX Entrepreneurs @ TechRanch to an exciting event taking place at UT Austin Tuesday, March 25, 2014. National Journal and The Atlantic are hosting the second in a series of town hall events, in partnership with the IC2 institute and underwritten by Microsoft, called “A New America: How Millennials Are Sparking Change.”

We will be discussing practical information on how entrepreneurship can provide pathways to a brighter future for the millennial generation. There will be a great line-up of speakers including: Bob Metcalfe, professor of innovation and Murchison Fellow of Free Enterprise at the University of Texas, Austin, The Honorable Trey Martinez Fischer, member of the Texas House of Representatives, Wendy Spencer, chief executive officer of the Corporation for National and Community Service, Isaach Barchas, associate director at the Austin Technology Incubator, Grant Heimer, director of the Longhorn Entrepreneurship Agency, Jae Kim, founder and owner of Chi’Lantro BBQ, Rudy Rodriguez, managing partner of Team Venti, Juan Sanchez, vice president of research at The University of Texas, Austin, and Jason Seats, managing director of Tech Stars.

The event will take place from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Black Box Theater of the Student Activity Center at UT Austin, and will be followed by a networking reception with food and refreshments, including small bites from Austin’s own Chi’Lantro BBQ food truck. During this networking reception, there will be the opportunity to mingle with the event speakers, entrepreneurs, and other community leaders. To RSVP, please visit:
