Third in our series of breweries of Austin is Live Oak Brewery. One of Austin's oldest working breweries and you can find Live Oak beers all over the place. Chip and Brian have been at it since the early 90's and you really taste the difference when drinking a cold one at let's say Saturday December 13th beginning at high noon.
This tour is to start promptly at noon so get there no later than 11:45am. Anyone wishing to drink beer needs an ID and yes you do have to be 21 or over.
People this is a special tour and yes you may bring a guest. The only thing you need to do is show up if you RSVP. As this is a special event I am asking people to RSVP and be there is you say yes. Anyone that is a no show for this event will incur the wrath of the Druids and will be subject to the Tree. You can ask what the Tree is, but trust me you don't want to know.
This is the special for December:
Liberation Ale - Winter Seasonal
With about 6.0% ABV, this one will surely warm the ol' gullet during a cold central Texas winter - both days! Our India Pale Ale (IPA) is light in color and strong in hop character. Dry hopping with Cascade hops, gives this winter favorite a delicious citrus note reminiscent of a Texas Ruby Red. Yes, it's warming but you don't need to be huddled around the furnace to enjoy this one! IPA fans really love this ale during a beautiful Texas winter on the porch or indoors.
