Prog fan since age 12 (1972) upon hearing Jethro Tull's Thick as a Brick. Formed 1st band at 14, originally guitar/vocals, then bass, now drums. Current band is original prog: Thirteen of Everything. Album on Musea. Co-Host local prog radio show.
all kinds - Symphonic for sure, but also RIO & Zeuhl. I'm always interested in new stuff. Aside from the 70's classics, my more recent favorites include Porcupine Tree, Deus Ex Machina, Univers Zero, Thinking Plague, Anekdoten, Änglagård, Mars Volta
Jethro Tull's "A Passion Play" (runners up: Tull's Thick as a Brick, Genesis' Lamb Lies Down On Broadway, hard to choose a Yes or Gentle Giant title as substantially better than others as they had such a consistent output for awhile). Also KC's Red.

Hey Ted! Yes, I do live in Austin--been here over three years but I'm still in contact with the bandmates in Wisconsin. From what I heard we are in the mixing stages for the new FC album. Just listened to a few of the Mp3's on your site. Nice stuff! When's the next meeting?
Hey Ted. I got to see Deus Ex Machina once back in 1996, those guys were cray-zay! Thinking Plague in 99 I think, they were a little too much for me, but obviously insanely talented.
Anyway, welcome to the group!
Dude, love the music. I've been obsessed with the album Hybris from Anglagard for awhile, although the singing leaves a bit to be desired. Have you heard Miriodor? Now that's some pretty awesome recent Italian music. Anyways, really hope I can make it to the meetup, and I'd love to come to a show of yours. You're making music I always wished I could find other people to make with me.
