Re: [Atheists-United-Family-Group] Hello!

Hi Rachel,
I am also interested in being part of a group of free-thinkers.
Our 7 year old son says he's surrounded by "believers" (except for one other kid) in school and he's feeling a bit isolated in that respect.
We live near the Fairfax District. We love going to The Grove, The Page, The Natural History Museum, LACMA and we're looking forward to the Boone gallery's reopening. Hopefully it'll be open by the beginning of next year.
We have also begun going to the monthly Center for Inquiry meetings.
Hope to meet you soon,
Alex

Hi everyone!

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.

My name is Rachel DeWald. I am a mother of a two year old girl, Eisley. After having our daughter my husband and I realized we were lacking a community to raise her in. I want a place for her to grow and learn around open, free-thinking families. I am committed to providing her with an environment where she can feel comfortable to express herself and to ask questions without being told "because that's just how it is".

I am excited to get involved with Atheist United Family Group. As the newest assistant organizer, I promise to get as many activities in as many cities around LA for our families to meet.

I understand that Los Angeles is a large place, so I want to ask all of you to help me out with one thing:

Email me back and tell me a little about you. If nothing else, let me know what city your family lives in and an activity or place you like to go in your area.

I'd love to explore more of the greater Los Angeles and to give everyone a chance to attend meetups no matter what area you are in.

Let's all work together to build a community for ourselves and our children.
Thank you to Brian and Bobbie for this opportunity!

I look forward to meeting you all. :)
-Rachel
