I like (4) and especially (3). We need to grow the hash. Wait. That is going to get picked up by a DEA filter. Anyhow, I feel like we should grow the hash as much as we can through events like this that bring out all kinds of potential hashers and try not to intimidate them or scare them off by getting too over the top too early. Top Cum has even been working on semi-family friendly hash songs. It will be a good opportunity to bring new new people into the Asheville Hash.

If we are going to do it, we need to get organized now, especially for things with lead time like haberdashery. Since it seems Doolittle is inspired for this, why don't you suggest a time and place interested hashers can meet for an organizational meeting.

Subject: [harriers-39] Beer City week

AHH Harriers,
(I'm sorry I can't make it to the mismanagement meeting this weekend.  Spring Break calls me...)
I'm writing to seek input into the upcumming Beer City week hash events.
Beer City "week" is scheduled for May 24-June 3.  44 different events are planned at Asheville's breweries and pubs and restaraunts.  A beer competition at Pack's Tavern is the highlight of the week.
The Mountain Sports Festival is also the weekend of May 25, 26, 27.  A variety of sporting events are scheduled around town, with the music and festival center ongoing at Carrier Park.
I've spoken with the organizers of each of these events, and they each want our Hash group to be a part of their events.  I suggest we consider three possibilities.  1 - just have our usual hash runs timed to run through some of the scheduled events.  Pick the lowbrow and non-ticketed events, of course.
2- Plan a huge inter-hash to bring regional hashers to town for the various events.
3- Host an "All Cummers" hash for newbies, inviting and publicizing it to the MSF or Beer City folks.  There would be heavy emphasis on teaching hash traditions, and keeping the tone less offensive than usual.  Use only established bartenders (no free beer) to reduce liability.
4 - all of the above.
Carrier Park and the MSF offer a perfect place to start or finish a big group hash, to enjoy free music and outdoor beer sales.   Saturday PM or Sunday afternoon would work well.
Please reply and comment, and let's make a plan ASAP.
