I'm new to Denver, have been active in a similar group in Madison, Wisconsin. Looking forward to meeting people here!
How did you hear about "A Vegan Life" meetup group?
Searching for "vegan" on the Denver meetup website.
What made you decide to go vegan or try veganism, and explore a more compassionate lifestyle (answer as simply or as detailed as you like)?
Years of working for social and environmental justice + lots of reading! The more you know, the more veganism makes sense -- at least for me. To paraphrase someone I heard recently, it's the most elegant and efficient path towards solving the world's problems . . . vegan food is delicious too :)
What kind of activities would you like to see the group participate in, if you have anything specific you would like to do (note that our members are welcome to suggest and schedule vegan friendly events for consideration by our organizers)?
Cooking demos, movie screenings, talks, picnics . . . animal advocacy!
NOTE: You don't have to RSVP "NO" to gatherings you don't plan to attend, UNLESS you are changing your RSVP from "YES" TO "NO". "NO" RSVPs only create more email for organizers. We only require a "YES" if you plan to attend gatherings. Make sense?
