Thanks for the welcome. At this stage, it looks good and I should see you there. If you like, I can give a quick talk about how pubget.com used AWS (VPC/EC2/S3/RDS/ELB/etc with a RoR/Solr/MySQL stack). We had over 600k monthly unique users with about 4 to 6 million searches run per day when I left.
