Elastic Beanstalk is an AWS service used simplify deployment by using utilizing preconfigured AWS resources. Using Elastic Beanstalk, Jamie will be demonstrating how to create a scalable, highly-available (fault-tolerant) deployment of a basic PHP application in only 10 minutes.

Using the AWS API w/ Python

Every aspect of AWS can be programmatically controlled and monitored using the AWS API. Michael will introduce using boto, the most popular Python interface to AWS, to automate deployment processes and create "self-scaling" applications.
