I came to the AWS Architecture Social “Tips and Tricks” meeting to get together with my fellow local Sacramento AWS users, both veterans and beginners. My goal at the meeting was to learn more about the community and see how I could help support use of AWS by my neighbors. By the end of the social gathering, I came away with several new friends and clients using AWS. A great success by any measure.

I look forward to the next meetup, and I hope to see more speakers as good as Greg to bring Sacramento users the real inside stories from AWS. Greg explained how there could be over 100+ new features a year for AWS, which means both old and new users have to learn fast to keep up. And more meetings like these will provide the just the right information needed to keep up with AWS offers.

I enjoyed it. Great start and I could see some application of AWS here. Can't wait to learn more about how they implement security. And yes the pizza was good.

I'd love to be there but it's too early for me, especially with traffic. 7pm would be a nice time. Although I will try to make it.

A little later in the evening would be better for those working day jobs.

Do you guys have a location yet? If not, I would recommend checking with the Sacramento HackerLab.
