The presentation was great. Most of it was refresher, but the part about using PostgreSQL on RDS with multiple read replicas could solve an existing problem we're having with Mongo scalability. I am working with the NorCal BigData Meetup Group to co-sponsor the next meeting. Greg & I will work out the details, but the emphasis will be using Big Data on AWS.

I would love to see a talk about bigdata such as Redshift. Best practices for structuring your tables, distribution keys, etc.

I'll second Stephane request. For most new developers, using Chef/Puppet/etc is mysterious. Perhaps a technical session that shows what Todd mentioned in his talk, starting immediately using Chef (for instance) to configure a single instance dev machine, and then using it to build up to a (simple) multi-machine config.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
