Amazon Web Services continually innovates on behalf of customers, bringing new services and features based on customer feedback and requests. Over the past 6 months new instance families, generations, and instance types have been added to EC2, enabling customers to optimize their architecture for specific workload characteristics. The latest instance types bring expanded choice to customers to optimize price and performance as well as the latest Intel processor features and new capabilities to EC2.
To take advantage of the latest EC2 features, including control of the networking infrastructure, customers want to make use of the Virtual Private Cloud service for their architectures. Many customers have been using AWS for multiple years and may not currently use the VPC service for their EC2 instances.
John Reif, AWS Solutions Architecture team manager, will provide an overview of how customers are modernizing their AWS deployments by taking advantage of the latest EC2 instance types and features of VPC. John will discuss the M3, C3, R3, I2, G2, and HS1 instance types and how customers choose between instance families. He will also provide an overview of features that are unique to VPC and not available in EC2 classic. Common customer choices for VPC layout and migration from classic to VPC will also be discussed.
Please join us for an open and interactive discussion on the latest EC2 and VPC capabilities hosted by AWS customer BrightEdge.
