AWS's Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)--The Basics, and More!

The Topic

VPC is an important cornerstone of your AWS deployment. So much so that Amazon now starts all new accounts in VPC. In this meetup, we'll talk about two scenarios: setting up VPC for a website, and setting up VPC so that it connects to an on-site data center over VPN.

Jon Gallagher (Certified AWS Solutions Architect, Certified AWS SysOps Administrator, and Authorized Amazon Instructor) will lead the discussion. We may also have a couple other Amazon resources on hand.

Feel free to bring your VPC-related questions!

Food!

We will be serving pizza, antipasto, drinks, and desserts.

Schedule

6:00 - set up (feel free to come early and help!)
6:30 - networking and eating
7:00 - 9:00 discussions, networking, what-have-you

Where

Ansir Innovation Center
4685 Convoy St
Suite 210 (upstairs)
San Diego, CA 92111

Note: Please park on neighboring Convoy Street, Brinell Street, or Engineer Road. Please avoid parking in other shopping centers as you may get towed. Ansir Innovation Center is located on the second floor above what used to be the Tea Garden--look for the green door.

Just realized this is on the same day as a great DevOps Meetup: http://www.meetup.com/sddevops/events/159635112/. I imagine a lot of people would want to go to both. Any possibility of a date change?
