Dr. Pavithra Shivakumar holds a Ph.D. in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics from Yale University.  Her dissertation focused on structural assessment of compounds and pharmacogenomic profiling in cancer.  She has a BS with highest honors in Computer science and honors in Biology from Rutgers University.  She has been part of Celmatix, Inc., a biotechnology firm in New York city since June 2011 and is involved in developing an innovative, non-invasive test that will assess the genetic indicators underlying egg quality and female infertility through the analysis of next-generation sequencing and other high-throughput genomic data.  She is also involved in algorithm development, clinical and genomic data management, and novel biomarker research.
