AXA Equitable Toastmasters Club is a local chapter of Toastmasters International which is a world leader in communication and leadership development where members improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending meeting to practice first hand.

Our meetings begin promptly at 5:45pm on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of every month at the following address:

New York Woman in Film and Television
6 East 39th Street (Between 5th and Madison)
12th Floor Conference Room
New York, NY 10016

In order to gain access to the meetings you will need to sign up on this site and provide your full name as it will appear on a photo ID.

Our meetings are a learn-by-doing workshop in which participants hone their speaking and leadership skills in a friendly atmosphere. There is no instructor. Instead, members evaluate one another’s presentations. This feedback process is a key part of the program’s success. Meeting participants also give impromptu talks on assigned topics, conduct meetings and develop skills related to timekeeping, grammar and parliamentary procedure. Members learn communication skills by working in the Competent Communication manual, a series of 10 self-paced speaking assignments designed to instill a basic foundation in public speaking.
