LIGHTS REQUIRED!!!
* Volunteers needed to help share leading this ride, since there may not be a designated leader. All riders should be familiar with the trails layout, (map link below). Contact Amy at [masked] if you have any questions concerning this ride *
Trail 100 rides are fun and challenging, and always include many spur trails off T100. Although most of the terrain is best suited for intermediate and up, we DO encourage "experienced" beginners (see below), to come and get stronger. Many Tuesday night riders have started at a lower level and improved dramatically by continuing to attend these rides.
All riders should familiarize themselves with the layout of this area beforehand, especially since there may not be a dedicated leader. Here is a trail map with surrounding roads: http://singletrack.us/gallery/displayimage.php?album=54&pos=8. It is important to be familiar with the area, so in the event you become separated from the group, you can find your way back to the parking lot.
ALL FIRST TIMERS should contact the organizer at [masked] prior to the ride.
We will be meeting at the 40th and Shea, Phoenix Mtn Preserve parking lot (40th Street south from Shea ends at the trailhead pkg. lot). If you are a first timer, ask riders for the AZMB group ride.
NOTES:
1. HELMETS MANDATORY
2. Min of 70 oz of water needed
3. "Experienced" Beginner: This is someone who has some experience riding trails (Desert Classic, trail 100, FINS, etc.), and has a bike that fits them well and is in good working order. They should also be equipped with a spare tube and tools needed for the trails. Experienced beginners should be able to be comfortable with possibly riding parts of the ride by themselves, and if they become separated from the group they should be able to find their way back to the lot.
