Chris Boothroyd will present Blue Integrator simular to BizTalk but simpler

Blue Integrator (www.blueintegrator.com) is a low cost integration infrastructure product, designed to offer small and medium sized businesses the kind of professional integration options that are typically enjoyed by major corporations.  Modeled after Microsoft’s BizTalk Server – but simpler to use by far – Blue Integrator allows engineersto configure the interfaces between systems, rather than build complex, hard coded, point-to-point solutions.

Chris Boothroyd of Avatar CTS will provide a brief overview and demonstration of the product, with a view to how some very common, real-world, integration scenarios can be implemented – such as:

•             Importing text files into a database

•             Scraping emails for order data and importing into a database

•             Receiving data from a customer web site and importing to a database

•             Exporting data from database on a schedule basis and generating text file output

•             Exporting data from database on a schedule basis and posting to a web site

•             Exporting data from the database and emailing a text file attachment

•             Updating a SharePoint list with status information from a database •             Configuring a web service front end to a database

I enjoyed Chris' presentation on Blue Integrator and learned a lot about the process of integrating disparate applications.

I thought Chris did a good job of presenting an overview of capabilities. I think he was excellent in conveying the ability for this interface to solve common business problems, and that a need for Blue Integrator could be found in virtually every business. I plan to look for pain points from my clients and contact Chris for BI implementation.
