NetSquared Abidjan Message Board › Seeking an African voice
Happy New Year to everyone, as a matter of information we at the abidjan Netsquared Meetup Group have tagged this year ` A year of New Begining` So we want the new begining to start with our selves and then stretch to our communities and then our country as a whole before finally hitting the global scenes. It is a common fact that Africa prepares us for the worst situations in life and we appreciate that, and don`t intend to ask God WHY? but rather HOW we can start making the much needed changes that affect our lives in general. Some of the things that you find out when you are opportuned to go out of Africa;
a. Power outages are not normal but an annomaly
b. Corruption is a crime against humanity
c. Politics is not a do or die affair
d. Education is the key to developement
e. Research cannot be overlooked because it is from research that you can innovate and create new methods
f. Government make people the focus of there policies
g. It is not how much you have gathered rather how many people you have been able to reach out to positively.
h. Prostitution and crime can only lead to regret later in life
i. Women bear so much pain in nation building and hence should be given special considerations
This list can go on and on for ever but I still believe that are all achievable and it requires consentious action of all then things can fall into place. And even if our leaders don`t buy this ideas we can as a networked group make our decisions felt in a peaceful but consistent methods. Don`t just sit back and say they will not listen speak out no matter how incoherent it may seem, just say it, give your ideas, in that way we can have a peek view of how everyone feels and then with time we can turn it into one voice and let it out so the world will hear. I love you all and pray that God will touch our hearts and make us better and positive instruments of change as we march on in preserving our darling country and also preparing a new environment for our children and children children.
