For the next meetup, we have decided to take look at the powerful Operator synth, part of the Ableton Suite package.
Operator is a versatile instrument offering a combination of analog-style subtractive, FM and additive synthesis methods. This provides a platform for a very wide range of sound design possibilities for creating not only standard basses, pads and leads, but also drums and percussive sounds, sound effects and textures.
In this meetup we are going to take a detailed look by analyzing examples of sound synthesis with Operator.
In doing this we will cover various sound design techniques which will be applicable for your general understanding of synthesis and would be beneficial for you when you create sounds or modify presets.
We invite our members to prepare some patches they have been using or to simply come along and learn.
If anyone has any particular requests in terms of sounds they like to learn how to make, please let us know via the comments section below.
If you intend to present, please also put a note in the comments section.
We look forward to seeing you again soon.
