We will have an informal conversation about the kinds of things Access Creativity could do. In particular we will explore ideas about the the primary venues we envision for sharing and creative community development:
<> 'Cabarets' -- Monthly open-mic-like events
<> Labs -- Collaborative projects undertaken by members
<> Online -- A Facebook group, a Meetup group, an online gallery
Donations will be accepted from those wishing to support this work.
It was truly amazing meeting up with everyone last night. I am seldom surprised at the quality of connections capable when creative sorts get together, but this evening I was more than delighted! Let's do this again, and again!
Thanks, Melisa, for the YouTube link. This is such a wonderful embodiment of the kinds of things we were talking about last night -- collaboration, new art forms, joyous creativity; and it is such sheer delight!.
Thanks very much to you for hosting and playing that interesting instrument. I look forward to working with the group on creative adventures.
Let me know how I can be a contributor to this creative endeavor, not sure what I can add to such a group of talented people but I am interested to learn more and become a more creative individual.
Katie thanks for your wonderful comment, it inspires me.
Pam. Charlie and Richard it was an honour and a pleasure to meet you all and I look forward to the evolution and growth of this group.
Thank you Puran, for opening your home and your heart to this collaborative tapestry of creativity and soul food. I so enjoyed hearing everyone's story and journey, and I too loved the deep appreciation, listening and authenticity offered by ALL! I too embrace and look forward to the unfolding conversation and co-creativity!!
I really enjoyed that first meeting and, like Melissa, am wondering how I can contribute. I like writing dialogue and enjoy Paulo Coelho's writings so wonder if I can try to either sketch out a dramatical scene or a poem in his purposeful way. To start though I would love to have a recommendation from Puran and others on a good primer for Sufism. Pam, just loved your poem and that emotive song. Do you have the words in a form you can post to me at wcwoods@gmail.com? Katie, I went to a ...
..Katie, I went to a Shakuhachi concert last fall and do hope you can play for us, as I hope for Richard too! And the photos by Melissa. Just wanted to end by mentioning that last week was pretty drab, IT wise, but ended beautifully in seeing the movie Pina, about the choreographer Pina Busch. Wild, wacky, innovative! I hope to learn so much from the group. And I have already...
Charlie,
I can see that the meeting really resonated with you. That is amazing. For me it inspired me to connect more with a sense of creativity that has always been there but has gotten lost in the daily grind of making a living. I long to re-connect with that. I do that to some extent through my photography but I know that I need to give myself permission to do more with that side of who I am. Thanks to all of you for inspiring me.
It was a wonderful first meeting, very inspiring.
By the way here is the link to the guitar piece with the 5 guitarists that was referenced tonight. It is brilliant...
