July Instructables Build Night With Sugru

Instructables is sponsoring monthly build nights at makerspaces and hackerspaces around the world. Each month is a different theme and they will send us materials to run a workshop at our space.

Instructables is partnering with sugru for our July 2013 build night. Sugru is the exciting new self-setting rubber that can be formed by hand. It molds like play-dough, bonds to almost anything and turns into a strong, flexible silicone rubber overnight.

Thanks everyone who showed up to help out! If you made something with sugru, no matter how simple, please either:

    A) Post it to and then add it to our group at

or, if you don't know how to use instructables, or don't want to bother,

    B) Write up a description of what you made and email it to us. If you used your own camera, please send us the pictures as well.

we need to post these in order to continue receiving free stuff. thanks!

Hello- Is event this kid- friendly?

In principle it is, if the child is supervised. Build nights are fairly self-directed, so there won't really be any directed activities for kids. The event is mainly geared toward adults, but we certainly won't turn away any precocious mini-makers.
