Creative Project: Glasses

No experience of the particular theme is required and we can accommodate all levels of ability. All you need to bring is your camera.

Undertaking photography projects is a great way to improve your photography, learn new skills, force yourself to think outside the box, jumpstart your creativity. It’s a fun way to become a better photographer. Working on a series of photos, with a common theme, is also a great way to push your portfolio forward.

Minimalism is a photographic style that can rely on different techniques and ideas, but always tries to deliver striking, dramatic images capable of instantly capturing the attention of the viewer. The minimum amount of components (such as colours, shapes, lines or textures) is used to get the maximum effect.

Composition, geometry, (a)symmetry, repetition, negative space… all can be used to create strong minimalist photos.

Glasses filled with water, soda, colored liquids etc. Splashes, gravity defying angles, ice cubes.

We will create at least 4 different scenes, each allowing for variations. That will enable all the photographers to work on a complete series of photos and not to get the same images each.

Individual creativity is encouraged.

In order for all the photographers to get original photos for their portfolios, the number of participants will be restricted to maximum 4. During each slot 2 photographers will will work on rotation, one at a time.

In order to have more time for your shoot you can also choose to book a whole slot for yourself, paying a lower cost of £45, instead of 2x£30.

Time slots:

Slot 1: 16:00-17:30 Stephen

Slot 2: 18:00-19:30 Mark & ?

As always, you've presented a challenging format. Unfortunately, I've a prior commitment early that evening which would be difficult to honour even with the early slot.
