Join us at the park to play acoustic guitar and sing. Geared for intermediate and advanced beginner level and guitar players who like to play contemporary and classical pop, rock, alternative and R&B. We also welcome singers. We will play in small groups so that everyone has the chance to participate, learn new songs and share techniques. Bring your acoustic guitar, picks, tuners and a music stand if you have one. Feel free to bring whatever else that will make you comfortable like chairs, blankets, and food. I will bring some song books, and I have posted many songs on the Meetup site that you can print out.
Also feel free to email me any songs with chords that you would like me to add online for the group at [masked] , or bring some copies to the Meetup for everyone to learn. There is a $1 dollar optional donation to cover the cost of the Meetup organizer fees. The get together will be canceled if there is rain or bad weather.
Directions: See the arrow on the map above. If you enter the park on E 67th St, follow the path up towards the biking/running loop in the park (Park drive), and once you are there walk south on about one block. You will see a grassy area to the east side of the road where we will meet. If you are entering the park, from the south, walk up Park drive and you will come across the grass area after you cross over the road on 66th that crosses the park. Other landmarks will be a fork in park drive with two traffic lights and the Shakespeare statue across the street to the west.
