Saturday Afternoon Jam @ Miller's Grille

Everyone's invited to the Saturday afternoon acoustic jam at Miller's Grille; I'll bring a few songs, you bring a few songs, maybe we'll try to work on our improvisation and harmonization skills! All instruments welcome, including vocalists & percussionists.

I'm going to bring the projector again, so if you have any songs you'd like to share, you can put the files here: http://www.meetup.com/Acoustic-Music-Community/files/

We've been playing upstairs, but be aware that we may move downstairs during college football season (so we're not drowned out by the game!).

I'm looking forward to another great jam!!

    Valerie: 17 > 10, but just barely.

17 (in base 8) = 15. 10 (in base 15) = 15. Ta da. Oh and we really had what? 13? 12? Boy math is complicated.

We had 10 people!!! I'm very good at the maths. :)

Thanks to the organizers Valerie and Aloysius. I had a great time playing with a really talented and fun group.

Thanks Ron, but all credit goes to Valerie. I was just trying to stay out of people's way (musically and otherwise).

oh so humble! We loved the sax playing! It's been 2 days and I'm still smiling - even in the rain!

Really? You need to ask? Valerie is unparalleled. Or maybe nonpareil. Or ebullient. And organized. cauterized. and as advertised (only better in person).

Thanks everyone - I had a fabulous time. What a great group. Still smiling. Broomfield Days next week - but hope to see you the next. Come see our booth - Colorado Repertory Singers. :)

Great jam today!! Thanks to everybody who braved the roads to come out -- some from very far away! I had an awesome time, and I thought we sounded fantastic.
If you have any suggestions for this jam, please email me and let me know. See you next Saturday!

Five of us stayed until 5p. It was great that you brought a projector. Keep bringing it. It's very useful.

I was so excited to come, but because of all of the flooding (I am in Loveland), I feel it's best to stay put. I hope everyone is safe and dry!

I'm glad you stayed safe, some roads are still bad out there. We meet every Saturday, so I hope you sign up for a future jam!

I came down with a head cold last night so I think I will give up my spot. Have fun!

I'm going to try to get there as soon as possible. I am helping someone in Boulder try to salvage some belongings from her flooded house.

It's almost two and I'm way behind in my day! Not sure I can make it so I'm removing myself. If I catch up I'll head over. Sorry!!! ;-(

I was going to come to listen but it seems the event is for players. Have a great time.

Hi Jennifer - the event is for everyone, but if you're just listening there's no need to sign up...just come!

      2 · September 11, 2013

Jennifer - we love to have an audience. We fondly but mistakenly refer to them as "fans"! They are usually people who accidently stumble in and once they are in, we sort of block the door. We subconsciously and pathetically crave attention. Feel free to come listen and enjoy!
