Another large group acoustic play/sing/jam session at Harmony Music House

Group format and flow this time to be a bit different (sort of an experiment -- and up for changing in future if this does not work so well).  Instead of a song circle where we go around the large circle one person at a time, we'll try the following at the next Meetup:

   * Begin with introductions and coming up with a list of songs, as a group, that we then vote on and decide to play for this session -- the first hour of it.  Am thinking here -- people could have a song or two or three  that they can and want to lead--or that they know the group already does well and want to do again (AND bring at least ONE copy of each song -- we can make extra copies for eveyone at HMH if need be).

    *  We'll list them all and  then vote on up to 12 songs we all want to try playing together that first hour or so. We could also identify which people in the group want to "take breaks" in songs -- and each song, as we go, select 2 or 3 people to take breaks.  I am hoping those with less experience doing this, will also be up for trying to take "breaks" in songs -- a thought:  going around the circle for "taking breaks" in songs would be a good way to do this, and those that want to opt out, can-- but then we don't have to make those decisions each song.

Then, we'll take a break for 20 minutes or so, and share drinks/snacks (simple ones -- chips/dip -- we have to clean up the place at the end). DUring this time, we'll also see what smaller group break-outs there are people might want to do.  I.E. -- We break out into 3-4 smaller groups that can go into different rooms in this house (upstairs, etc.). .. to focus on individual interests -- e.g., jamming/taking breaks, or song circles--each person takes a turn doing a song they know, and tell people the chords, and other back them, OR any other small group that forms because of similar interests/skill levels!

   *  SMALL GROUP CIRCLES (in different rooms in house) -- with still a core larger group, I envision -- who keep doing the starting format.

END -- around 6:30.    Again, this is an experiment of a format that might help to keep more people involved and able to also pursue their own individual interests/talents.  Hope to see you there!!!

Note on Parking -- if we run out of space on street and little lot behing HMH, ample parking is available across the street where shopping area is (Breakworks/Vics).

Even with such a large group and 8 or so guitar players, the jam went surprisingly well!
There are A LOT of talented musicians in this group and wonderful vocals to top it off! Those who wanted to take solos had plenty of opportunity. What a great way to spend a Sunday!
