Epps! Sorry. There was a typo! It's April already so it should read 6th April (not March). Hope to see you then. x
How are you today? I'm Patricia writing on behalf of Julian. Just reminding you that we're running an Acting & Confidence Building Meetup session this Monday 6th Mar 7pm-10pm at Sweet, 42 Theobalds Road, London, WC1X 8NW. Come along, dang the Monday blues and gain confidence with some fun acting exercises.
Are you interested in learning acting and drama in order to gain confidence, improve focus and at the same time, to meet new people? You may already be a trained/training actor or you may have never tried acting before. In either case and anywhere in between, this group is for you. We don't do trust games, throwing balls or being trees but one thing we promise is that we WILL teach you to act, a skill that will stay with you for life.
For over 8 years I have taught many hundreds of people interested in learning acting from all points of view or experience. I teach acting in a practical, no nonsense way which can produce dividends for people at every stage of their lives. Using simple tools, I show you how to understand and create a character's state of mind, a method you can use time after time - in all circumstances, acting or not.
Please come along and find out more in a relaxed and non judgemental environment. You will be amazed at what you can achieve.
My acting and directing training was for 4 years with a Russian director, the late Sam Kogan, who himself studied in Moscow under Maria Knebel, a pupil and colleague of Constantin Stanislavski. This technique inspired many of the most distinguished acting tutors across the world and almost without exception, the 'greatest' Hollywood actors from Brando to Day Lewis use or used a technique derived from Stanislavski. My approach is based on both Stanislavski and Kogan's work with an emphasis on making acting genuinely accessible and understandable by and useful for all.
