Elfin Forest to Lake Hodges Overlook then Stone Brewery apres hike

Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve hike to Lake Hodges Overlook

January 19th.

Start hiking at 9:30 a.m.

Approx 7.5 miles

Apres hike at Stone Brewery, 1999 Citracado Parkway, Escondido

Meet at trailhead near the restrooms shortly before 9:30

Join Action on a hike to the Elfin Forest.  We'll do a loop hike from the trailhead up and around the Olivenheim Reservoir to the Lake Hodges Overlook and back.  There are picnic tables at the Reservoir overlook so if you just want to do part of the hike, you can relax at the picnic tables until the rest of us return from the Lake Hodges Overlook.  The trail is well maintained and considered moderate in difficulty.

Hard rain cancels.  If inclement weather, check your email before you leave to confirm hike has not been cancelled.

NOTE:  hike is also open to regular Action Ski and Snowboard Club members who sign up directly with the trip leader so their count is not reflected in the sign-up total

The cloud cover kept it cool enough to make it a pleasant day for hiking. So sad that water levels are so low. Next time I won't schedule a Sunday hike during football season - Stone Brewery will have to wait for another day.

That is on the actual Meetup you have PM selected. Everywhere else you have AM. I only n oticed this as I use the calendar feature to add it to my work calendar and it goes down to 9:30pm. :)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
