The quickest way to relax and experience a peaceful meditative state of pure consciousness in this day and age is through Active Meditation. Active Meditation is an evolutionary process of releasing our stress and pent up emotions from the body while simultaneously being engaged in witnessing and dis- identifying from our thoughts and emotions. Active meditations incorporate in the initial stages physical activity such as breathing, shaking, dancing, humming and is followed by relaxation and stillness. There are regular 60 minute open classes, as well as weekly morning courses for beginners and weekend programs at Osho Studio in the area close by to the Oberbaum Bridge in Kreuzberg.
The classes have a regular crowd of Berliners, internationals and visitors. Many people are attracted by the location- the studio is open and spacious – Drop in meditation price for a class - only €5. With informal tea afterward. You can enjoy active meditation classes whether you’re a beginner or have experience. People tend to hang out after, so it is a great place to meet other English speakers. The studio also offers Yoga, Dance, Pilates and theater projects in English.
