Game Night

No location was chosen

Bring out all your board and card games from those closets and lets have some fun. Had been to a few such Game Nights during my stay in Omaha and it always turned out to be a great way to meet people and have fun! Do suggest a location which would ideally involve a place where we can have a room for ourselves.

Sounds like fun. The Juice Company, centrally located in The Shops at Roosevelt is available for your total use. Address is 845 - 42nd Street, just off the freeway. We would be closed to the public, but we'd like to open up just for you to have the whole place.

There's already a community game night on that date at the Westview Church in Waukee at 5pm. It's held every second Saturday.

I am sure there are game nights happening at a lot of places. I havent seen any on the meetup groups, so figured why not have one here itself. I am sure this game night will be a lot of fun as well. Surely there are a lot of people wanting to meet people and have fun!

Folks, I am still undecided about the venue. More options would definitely help. Ideally, the place would be a small room for ourselves and preferably with food available next door or at the same place. Please do suggest any options you might have.

Again, I want to offer The Juice Company as your venue. It would be open only for you, would have food and drinks available for purchase. Centrally located just off the freeway on 42nd Street across from Roosevelt High School. Large space.

Sylvia, could you please provide a phone number or some way to contact the place and setup the reservation (if needed)? I will probably check out the place once sometime this week too.

Also, folks, please do RSVP to this game night in the other Des Moines meetup groups - Hiking/Outdoors and Singles/Nightlife - so that we can get the event announced in the schedule, thereby getting more people to attend it. Help would be greatly appreciated!

I am not sure why Loren had the location removed. Hope there were no mix ups.

A total of 3 (of 8) who RSVPd showed up for the game night. We had a +1 at the last moment too. It was definitely fun and could have been even more fun with more people in it. Also, not sure why the location was removed at the last hour. Hope that did not cause problems for anyone trying to find the place.

It was nice to go to a new bar, especially in the East Village. I thought the food and drinks were good. I had fun playing games, but it kinda felt like we were in a college area bar.
