John Pallotta Acting Studio is located in the heart of New York City’s Theatre District. The School offers adult acting workshops for beginning, intermediate and advanced as well as playwright workshops and teen workshops.  Actor training at the Studio prepares actors to work professionally in film, television, and theatre.  There are weekly on-and-off camera audition drills; using commercial copy, monologues, or scripts from TV series and films which gives you the confidence and techniques to dramatically increase your opportunities to work in the industry.

Actors need full control over their creative process so they can act on demand under any circumstance. John Pallotta teaches a mixture of techniques in a unique way that is reliable, effective, and produces inspired and powerful performances every time. When taught in the context of improvisation, scene study, cold reading, auditioning, both on and off camera, this combination is unbeatable. John also teaches other acting techniques and tools customized to the needs of the individual actor, and if needed, coaches actors on the practical side of show business: headshots, photographers, demo reels, resumes, agents, submissions, auditions, casting directors, interview technique, professionalism, career development, and marketing yourself with guest speakers.

John Pallotta specializes in freeing actors from whatever blocks are holding them back from realizing their full artistic potential.

John Pallotta is an award winning playwright, actor and acting coach in New York City. As an actor he has amassed nearly 300 professional acting credits since he started in 1977 and has studied under such names as, Lee Strasberg, Uta Hagen, Herbert Burghof, William Hickey, Austin Pendleton, Larry Moss and many more. As a playwright he is the autor of 19 original works for the stage as well as 3 screenplays. His plays have been produced / workshopped / read at such venues as Steppenwolf in Chicago, The Labyrinth Theatre, The Lambe Theatre, Theatre Row, The Actors Theatre of Louiseville KY and  by Members or The Actors Studio in NYC. In 2010  John will have 3 plays headed to the stage and 3 of his plays optioned for film with his most recent script Fragile X as a feature Film.

John Pallotta Acting Studio workshops cover audition technique, improv, scene study, and cold readings (on and off camera). An interview and audit is required for consideration.
