Adobe CS6 and Creative Cloud release party.

Ladies and Gentlemen

I have had to close the RSVP list for this evening's event because we are oversubscribed. If you know you will be unable to attend, please update your RSVP at your earliest convenience to help us calculate numbers.

Thanks in advance!

This month we will be celebrating Adobe's release of the Creative Cloud and CS6. Join us to find out more about both, see some demos and maybe score a little schwag. The agenda has been updated. See below.

[Update]

We will be doing a draw for at least 2 pieces of Adobe software at this meeting. So if you want/need a CS6 suite, you should come along.

Pizza
This is an Adobe-sponsored meetup, and so Adobe is paying for pizza and a drink. Come hungry for food and thirst for knowledge!

Agenda:

This meeting will be broadcast via Adobe Connect. If you cannot attend the meeting, you can access the meeting live at this address http://experts.adobeconnect.com/steve. If you want the chance to win some Adobe software and other goodies, you have to attend at the live meeting.

    Steve,

Thanks for the offer. Are the coupons for the upgrade using the subscription service or the packaged version? We have started our upgrade process at work but decided against the subscription version at this time. If its for package, I would love a copy of the coupon.

Thanks once again for all you do.

If you attended this meeting, and you intend to upgrade to CS6, *and* you want a discount, message me directly. I have some coupons ...

It was great. Enjoyed the speakers and the material that they covered. My plan is to learn all the programs in the Creative Cloud. I was also lucky enough to win a case for my iPad with all the touch apps installed. Well most of them. Thanks Adobe.

That was definitely an informative and enjoyable meetup. I learned some interesting and useful things from every one of the presenters and am quite excited about many of the new Adobe products. Kudos to Steve and the rest for pulling it off despite the numerous unexpected challenges.

Thanks for inviting us, Steve. I'm with the meetup Atlanta Web Dev Group. The meeting was really good. I wish I could have seen the Dreamweaver presentation.

Very nice presenters, some more prepared than others. Tough to determine what to show with such varied designers in the room.

Good overall, but would have preferred more of an overview of various new features, instead of in-depth tutorials of just a few of them.

This was the hottest meetup I've been to! LITERALLY!!!!
The presentations were great but it was too hot in the rooms.

A bit long. Didn't feel like it showed off many new features for CS6

Interesting to hear about CS6 and good features provided by tool. Amazin work it does to make a picture editable and figures disappeared from background and mount on other scene. Nice tricks. Good presentation but not to hide that it was not really a well planned event. It became too warm inside as many people turned in and smelled like a gymnasium workout inside. Audience were helping themselves to feel better by using book to fan some air in room. I had to walk out in the middle for a family reason so not sure how it went till the end. I would like to attend in future though......thanks for the hard work guys!

Good presentations. Good food. Everyone I met was friendly and polite and I loved the fact that the crowd was so diverse.

Despite the technical snafus I thought the presentations were engaging and informative -- many thanks to the speakers for their time and efforts. Overall a nice peek at some of the features of CS6.

excellent turn out and thanks to all the presenters

Remarkably different than past Adobe launch presentations where Adobe Pros did the heavy lifting. I wanted to be sold, but instead got reminded of the many quirks within Adobe program minutiae.

Meeting was very informative. However, the facility presented alot of challenges. I was very happy with all the new features and functions in CS6. And oh yeah, I was one of the winners of the software raffel, "Oh Yeah"!

    Thanks

Hi Brendellya - yes it was. Sorry I didn't see your message earlier as I was preparing for the meeting. Were you one of the people who signed in to the online meeting?

    June 6, 2012

  • Steve H.

Wow! What a fantastic night everybody. Thanks for all your patience - especially with the heat!

Thanks to all our speakers, without you there was no meeting. Thanks too to the technology gods. We had some small issues in front of you, and some fun technical challenges int he background - iPad through Adobe Connect anyone? - but it all went off pretty smoothly. Don't forget to post our pictures, and be sure to come to the next meetings!

It will be a super busy meeting. Wait till I tell you how many people signed up between this and *4* other meetup groups. I'll keep it as a surprise for tonight.

Hey Carol, I tried to get you on Twitter. Are you still up for this? Please either reply to me on Twitter or here and let's get you on the agenda.

Hey Carol - people think iPad is sexy, so are you game to do 2 slots? Once I get the demo assets let's talk. I'm expecting them by early next week. The demo assets are good for a *fast* 30 minutes in skilled hands, so you have to cherry-pick, unless you are awesome fast ;-) Deal?

    May 9, 2012

  • carol

I can demo InDesign and digital publishing (to iPad) or Flex Builder for mobile on iPad.

    May 9, 2012

  • Steve H.

Right everyone, since you are all paying attention, I have a request. I need some volunteers to step forward to do some 20 minute presentations at this party. Nothing too strenuous. Just pick your favourite tool - PhotoShop, DreamWeaver, Fireworks, Premier, whatever, and agree to do a demo. I will have special demo assets from Adobe. All you need to do is follow some simple steps. Message me or respond to this post and lets do it!
