We are testing a new, exciting way to attend Francis' satsangs: the live webcast of his Temecula week-end dialogues.

This is different from the Sunday webinars:

This webcast is limited to 100 participants, on a first come, first serve basis.

The participants will be able to see and hear Francis and to hear whomever is asking a question live in Temecula. Differently from the Sunday webinars, remote participants won't be able to ask a question using their microphones, nor will they be seen.

Questions: Participants may ask questions (live only) by sending email messages to [masked].

Windows and Mac OS are supported. You will need a broadband connection.

How to participate: just RSVP for this meetup. Voluntary donations are welcome and needed to cover the expenses. The suggested donation is $15. If you can afford it, we appreciate your support. You can also choose to donate less or more than the suggested amount. Our donors will enjoy advance reservation privileges and may RSVP as soon as this event is announced.

Free spots (scholarships): An email will be sent to all members of this Meetup group announcing the release for RSVP of the remaining spots (usually 48 hours before the event). At that point it will be possible for any member of the ADVAITA Meetup group to RSVP without making a donation.

Info to join the meeting: Everybody on the list who has RSVPd for this event (both donors and scholarships) will then receive an invitation with all the information they need to join. If you are have RSVPd and haven't received it 2 hours before the event, check the SPAM folder in your email application, and contact us if needed. This info will be sent again just before the meeting starts.

Waiting List: Don't hesitate to join the waiting list. You still have a very good chance to be able to attend due to last minute cancellations and no shows. We will send the password and all infos required to attend to all Friends on the waiting list at the very beginning of the meeting. This will enable 20 to 50 friends to attend "at the door" on a first come, first serve basis.

The time of the meeting is:

4:30PM Pacific Time

7:30 PM Eastern Time

12:30 AM UK

1:30 AM Next Day for France, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, etc

Recordings: We will send a link to the recording of the event to our donors, not to the free spot recipients. Unfortunately, due to the popularity of these webcasts and of their recordings, the bandwidth required exceeded the monthly bandwidth we purchase from our service provider thanks to the support of our donors. We have decided to prioritize the live webcasts and to allocate this bandwidth to the free spots for the live events, not to the recordings. Please don't send us messages asking for the link.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Are there scholarships available with the new RSVP and donation policy for the week-end webinars and webcasts?
Yes, there are: Donors have priority to RSVP, meaning that a donation is required to RSVP for a few days after the event is announced. However, all the remaining donor spots (about 80 spots) will be released approximately 24 hours prior to the event. You will immediately receive an email message informing you that you can RSVP without making a donation.

2. What should I do if my screen freezes during the webcast?

Wait. The system has been improved. If the freezing persists for more than 4 minutes, refresh your screen by revisiting the link. If this doesn't work, try restarting your web browser and emptying its cache.

3. We add the link to the event on Advaita for you to RSVP. Free spots are released later in the week for friends to RSVP without making a donation. Everybody who has RSVPd receives all the required info to join the event 24 hours or less before the event. We send this info again just before the event starts.

4. Advaita is the worldwide meetup group for webcasts, webinars and retreats with Francis. The Advaita Channel Temecula is the local meetup group for local week-end dialogues in Temecula, not for the webcasts or webinars of these local events.

5.If you see the colored bars, you are at the right place. just check the time.If you cannot open the link, make sure you copy the entire link that is quite long and extends beyond the right side of your screen. Then paste it onto the window of your browser.

6. The last few English Sat. and Sun. webinars have all been at "Euro-unfriendly" times.  When will we be able to join the webinars over here again?  If you could send us the link of the missed recordings for a donation, that could be a workable solution for those of us over here who sleep ;-)

Just RSVP for the event and you will receive a link for the recording.

7.  Is there any way I could receive ONLY your mails informing about the morning sessions in English? An indirect way of saying I'm feeling inundated in Advaita mails that don't really pertain to me. Is it all or nothing, or is there a (Buddhist) middle way here?

You can find this middle way by login in to your Meetup account and selecting "email settings" in the pull down menu under "account".

8. I don't understand how to give a donation for this event.

When you RSVP, you will see the following:

Your RSVP is confirmed. Please remember that you need to pay $15.00.
New: Francis Lucille live webcasts on Sundays. Different from Sunday Webinars. suggested donation: $15.00/per computer — Pay online now

Click on the Pay online now link. If you didn't pay upon RSVPing, when you go back to the page of the event on Meetup, you will see the following:

I signed up for the satsang, but was unable to attend. Is there a link available to a video recording of it?

    May 13, 2012

  • Mary

    @Hersch
I checked out the link you posted with the recording of Francis dalogue yesterday, Saturday 12th May.
In fact, I was able to store it on my MP3 player as a separate file for an unlimited period.
I am aware, as an online user, that this is a violation of basic copywrite laws. Of course the truth is not in the words alone but nevertheless it is important to respect copywrite rules and regulations

Francis was very clear, very focused and very beautiful. It was a real treat - like a Beethoven piano sonata. Thanks, Francis.

Deeply grateful... for the first time I clearly perceived Francis as an empty mirror reflecting exactely what was needed to be heard by consciousness asking for clarification through the questioner. Thank you Francis, also for answering my questions I didn't know I had :-)))

A most inspiring meeting. Light and love emanates from Francis words of wisdom.
    Truly grateful.

Dear Francis, to say "thank you" is not enough to express my gratitude for the grace and wisdom coming through you in today's satsang. Your beautiful and inspired response to my question has re-enlivened my practice beyond anything I could have expected or hoped for. My love and gratitude to you always.

Hi Mairi, That's what I thought but I have not received any email allowing for an RSVP for the scholarship and the webcast is just seven hours from now.
The website still says I owe $15 but Jackie Brookner says to just ignore that, so I guess that is my only choice. I hope I get to view the webcast. This is my first time here, though I've seen all of Francis' YouTube videos which are great.

    May 12, 2012

  • Mairi

Hi Dharmananda, you should recieve an email 24 hrs before the webcast that will allow you to RSVP for the scholarship. :D

    May 12, 2012

  • Dharmananda

Thanks Jackie and Ellis. That sounds like the plan!

I never really understand what's going on with meetup.com, but I apply a peculiar combination of persistence and surrender... Happily, I somehow usually end up seeing Francis. :)

    May 11, 2012

  • Ellis G.

In ancient times there were gargoyles guarding the temple, to frighten away anyone without enough desire for the truth.

Nowadays there are no gargoyles. But meetup.com serves the same function. ;)

  • Jackie B.

You can just ignore the request for $15. You will still get signed up.

I can't figure out how to attend the meetup online on scholarship. I have RSVPed "Yes" and it tells me I owe $15. So then I RSVP "No" and it thinks I don't want to attend. And then I see others say "thanks for the scholarship". I don't know what to do, please help.
