Machine Learning and Bots with Lilian Kasem

  • Aug 30, 2016 · 6:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

We’re very pleased to announce that our next meetup will not only feature Lilian Kasem, Tech Evangelist at Microsoft, but also beer and pizza.

Please do RSVP - we’re at Google Campus so lots of us can get together but places are still limited - thanks!

Here’s what we have in store:

18:30 - 19:00 Doors open, pizza, beer, networking

19:00 - 19:15 Welcome by Álvaro

19:15 - 20:00 Bots Are the New Apps - Lilian Kasem from Microsoft

20:00 Goodbye - off to local bar if people wish to continue networking…

Abstract: First we had the web, we were able to connect people with information using mice and keyboards. Then we had apps, written natively to take advantage of device sensors and operating systems. Next in the information revolution is Bots, making it simpler and quicker to connect users with the information and services that they need and using more natural methods of interaction.

In this talk I will open up the Microsoft Bot Framework, show how to develop a Bot using it and show you that you have the skills to do this too. Expect code, demos and to leave knowing what someone is actually talking about when they use the phrase ‘Conversations as a Service’.
