Have you ever wondered what they do at a Toastmasters meeting? Toastmasters International is a well known not-for-profit organization and I invite you to visit their website at www.Toastmasters.org to learn more. Toastmasters has helped many to overcome the fear of public speaking by building self confidence, leadership skills, networking and so much more. Come and see for yourself how this organization can help you. If you are already a Toastmaster, your visit will be greatly appreciated and welcomed. This group is open to everyone.
Our club has an award winning professional speaker who has also been involved in Toastmasters for many years and holds the highest honor for Toastmasters, the DTM designation. He can help you with your professional and personal speaking goals. The focus of our club is on advanced public speaking, but we welcome anyone who wants to join Toastmasters. Since we are an advanced club, a new member is expected to complete their first 10 speeches (the Competent Communicator series) in a more accelerated time frame than in a regular Toastmasters club. We will also view speeches from famous authors and professionals and see how we can incorporate those ideas into our speeches.
If you have any presentations that you are creating for your career or other endeavors, our club is a great place to receive useful feedback and advice for your project. You want to move ahead and we can help you do that.
Everyone can learn and network while having a good time and some laughs. See you all on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month. For more information, please call Stephanie Spruyt, Toastmasters International at 917-952-0136.
