Ready for a tree-top, Tarzan-style adventure?? : )
We are going to Trent Park, for a fun and adrenaline-packed day out at Go Ape, the UK’s number one forest adventure and tree-top obstacle course!
The Go Ape experience involves fun and adventure across five sections and features the award winning tree top crossings, tunnels, bridges and a wind-in-your-face zip wire to finish.
Trent Park is their new site and features the epic new Skateboard Zips! So you can have an exhilarating and breathtaking experience of skating through the trees on a zip wire!!!
Meetup Date: Sunday 18th November 2012
Meetup Place: Cockfosters Tube station (Piccadilly line, zone 5)
We meet just outside the main entrance/exit.
Meetup Time: 9.45am
Please be on time. We will leave the Cockfosters station at 10am sharp, and won’t be able to wait for you. If you are late you will need to make your own way to the site.
Approximate finish time: 1.30pm
The Go Ape adventure takes approximately 2 -3 hours to complete and that includes the safety briefing. However, there is no time limit to complete the course!
We can have a picnic lunch afterwards (weather permitting), or go to a local pub for drinks & some food. There’s also a café in the park.

Minimum Height – 1.4m (4ft7″)
Maximum weight – 20.5 stones (130kg)
The maximum waist measurement of the harness is 110cm and the leg loops (which go around the top of your thighs) is 70cm.
Doing Go Ape does require a degree of physical fitness but if you can climb up a rope ladder you should be fine.
What to wear - something you don’t mind getting grubby.
Dress for the weather so bring along a mac if it’s raining!
Make sure your stomach area is covered.
Please wear appropriate footwear with soles with good grips.
No sandals or slip-off shoes. You’ll need closed toe shoes.
Gloves are recommended. You can buy them on the side for £3.
Long hair must be tied back.
Safety - Go Ape courses are substantial and physically testing tree-top obstacle courses. There is inevitably a risk of injury when undertaking such activities. Participants will be responsible for attaching themselves to the safety system. If you do not attach yourself to the safety system you risk falling, which could result in a serious or fatal injury. All participants receive a safety briefing from a trained instructor at the start and have to wear a safety harness at all times.
Weather - Go Ape is a great wet weather activity. The course remains open in all weathers, except when it’s icy, stormy or during lightning. Rain makes the course muddier – just make sure you dress for it!
Cameras – cameras are allowed on the course as long as they are secured to you by a lanyard and tucked away to prevent them from getting caught. Bring your own lanyard or buy one on the site (£2)
Spectators - you may have as many people as you like watching you going ape through the trees. They will not be able to enter the course, but can watch, take pictures and laugh from the paths below
There should be a storage facilities for your belongings at the cabin.
Changing facilities - there are toilets on site where you can change before and after your Go Ape experience.
