Hi one & all: LAST INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE DEPARTURE ON SATURDAY FROM BARCELONA.

I suggest you to put your suim suit on before departure from Barcelona on Saturday because we won't have changing room in Esgambi. Take an old trainers you don't mind them to get wet (soak in fact). Once we get out of the river we will have to get change in the middle of mother nature and so it'll be usefull/helpfull to have changing clothes and a towell with you that will be kept in the shuttle bus during the river event. The youth hostel will provide us with towells but we may not have the chance to pick them up since we go directly from train station to Esgambi . We´ll stop in Benifallet (dinner + sleeping town) after the cannyonin expirience.

If some more doubts n questions: david[masked]

    Thank you

I've never done canyoning before and i am a crap swimmer - can i still come for The experience??

    June 10, 2013

    • Alain

Hi Priti, just hope you got the answers to your questions. The two above posts on the webpage, may not have reched your mailbox.

      June 12, 2013

  • david

    Dear Priti

The experience is really awesome and worth trying. One of the proffesional guides can be by your side almost all the time. I've been a guide myself in this river n can tell you that 11 years old kids can do it easily. The rope has to be used once or twice but in any case is for over ensure everything to make it more secure. WE LIKE TO DOUBLE CHECK EVERY SINGLE DETAIL. Some people don't even use the rope at all.
The wet suit helps you a bit to float in the river but please make sure that your floating skills are good enough, you don't even need to swim because the LITTLE strenght of the river (current) will help you move forward.
I that clear enough? any doubts, pease feel free to ask.
    Cheers
    david

    June 10, 2013

  • Alain

    Hola Priti,
I have just done it a couple of time and long ago.
The most important is just to listen the instructors when you are using ropes and above all that you know how to swim.

    June 5, 2013

    • david

Hey Lucas! no worries about some challenging situations the river may offer us because there is always a plan B (the easy one).

      June 5, 2013

  • Caroline

Can't make it at these dates. Petonets.

    June 5, 2013

  • david

Plan B or option B is always an easier way sort out some challenging situations within the river of canaletes.

    June 5, 2013

  • david

Dear Sarah! 1)The Canyoning expierence never is easy it is just that you have the option (plan B) in almost every challenging situation you find yourself along the whole lenght of the river. 2) meals are included except the breakfast of Saturday wich is during our train tryp train to down south from Barcelona.

    Hope everything is understood.
    Cheers
    David
