Join us for an afternoon exploring the ocean deep at Nottingham Contemporary Art Gallery! This gallery is one of the largest contemporary galleries in the UK.
This major exhibition brings together over 150 contemporary and historic artworks that explore how the deep has been imagined through time and across cultures. Sea monsters, sirens, sperm whales, giant squids, octopi, submarines, drowned sailors and shipwrecks are all portrayed here by many of art history’s “greats”.
This is suitable for adults and children - for those that like art and being creative and using their imagination. This kind of thing is really good for kids .. a learning activity that helps them to open their mind and use their imagination, to focus and analyse and learn and be creative.
We will stay on for a nice cup of tea and the contemporary cafe afterwards.
