Hi guys,

I used to be a part of this group before I moved to Ireland. I'm now back in the States, but I do have questions about Brazil and I know no better group of people to ask. 3 questions:

1. Does anyone have any recommendations for Brazil excluding Salvador, Rio, and Iguazo Falls?

2.Has anyone travelled from South America (Chile) to the South Pacific? And if so what airline? Anything more affordable than the rest?

3.Has anyone bought an around the world ticket? If so, is there any group you recommend for purchasing?

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it!

Keep travelling,
Rina

Hi Rina!

1) I enjoyed the Amazon in Brazil. I fly to Manaus and took a boat to the Ariau Towers, which I swam with pink dolphins (you can see some pictures of the dolphins in my profile). You can sign up for different excursions (the pink dolphins being one of them) to villages, jungle hikes, etc. It's a bit rustic and certainly not for everyone, but I enjoyed it. If you go to trip adviser and look up Ariau Towers, you can read a bit more about my experience (prolific Travelr). I'm assuming you've already been to Rio and IguazzuFalls because I can't see why you'd want to exclude those places unless you just don't want to go back.

2) Can't help you with that one.

3) I've only explored One World. You can go on Cathy or Quantas and map out your route before purchasing. Coincidentally, I was speaking with someone today and they mentioned that if you purchase your ticket from Thailand, it's much cheaper. I'm not sure how you go about that since the person that told me didn't seem to know, however, perhaps you can go through a travel agent there to arrange it.

Sorry I can't be of more help....Happy trails!

Hi Rina,

I'm originally from São Paulo Brazil and I owned a small tour company specialized only in Brazil. I will give a list of places for you to make a research:

*Pantanal and Bonito - one of the biggest fish diversity in the world. Just amazing!
*Natal / Rio Grande do Norte State: Amazing beaches with lots of dunes.
*Barreirinhas / Maranhão - Please Google "Lençois Maranhenses" - I don't need to describe...it's just unreal.
*São Paulo - The best night life in the world.

Unfortunately I was updating my website tonight and I broke something - I already called my developer for help - but please click on the tours and you can see a bunch of destinations as a example for a future trip - www.adventuresinbrazil.com

Good lucky in Brazil!
