Beginner Windsurfing Lesson

You must call  Scott, instructor by Wed., 8/27  at (512)[masked] (Office & Home) to confirm and set up the prepayment.

Try the exhilirating sport of Windsurfing! Learn to glide across the water!!

Women can do as well or better than men. A minimum of 4 students to make the class. Prepayment required.

The 4.5 hour class includes:

A classroom session of 35 minutes to learn about how to interact with the wind and about safety

Practicing the skills on land first before we learn on the lake - with 4 students upwards of 1.5 hours

Practicing/learning the skills on the water - upwards of 2.5 hours

Students must know how to swim and be able to hold their breath underwater for 5 seconds.

Kids 12 years of age or older are welcome. 12-18 yrs. of age is only $50.00 

Please bring at least 1.5 quarts of water, water shoes, a hat/visor, sunblock, sunglasses, bathing suit & towel, a folding chair. Please have eat before you arrive and bring a snack.

Cost based on 4 students: $75.00 for ACSA members, $80.00 for non-members or guests  - Prepayment required by U.S. mail or to meet Scott (Instructor) before Fri., 8/8 to pay by cash or check.

Take IH 35 North past Austin to Pflugerville. Exit at Grand Ave. Parkway (turn right) to East Pflugerville Pkwy. (turn right)and go 5 miles to the Southeast Corner of the lake. You will pass under State Highway 130. This is 150 yards to the west of the intersection of E. Pflugerville Pkwy. and Weiss Lane. Look for Scott's 4-door Chevy Cavalier and the windsurfing boards and sails. Parking is free in a gravel lot. Please call Scott no later than the day before for class details and directions. Please do not wait until the day of the event.
