Bonfire & Campout on the Guadalupe River

If you've been to one of these before you know it's not to be missed! Bring a tent and stay overnight if you wish. At this time of year we usually have almost the entire place to ourselves. Bring wood if you can. We'll have a keg of Alamo Golden Ale, BYOB on any other adult beverages. We'll be set up around lunchtime and will have a potluck cookout beginning around 5:00 PM. Feel free to bring something for the grill and/or any kind of munchie or snack to add to the mix. We'll have water, and all plates, utensils and kitchen gear. We'll have a small fire going during the day, and will start piling it on around dusk. The fire will probably be at its biggest around 9:00 PM but will be going all night. The campground fee is $8 whether you camp or not, pay at the office when you arrive.

do people normally bring families, or is it adults only?

I do these twice a year, and there are occasionally kids, but not usually. You are welcome to bring children, but it's basically a kegger.

I have had several inquiries about kids in the last couple of days, so there may be more than usual.

Any chance, someone has extra room in a tent? I do have a sleeping bag. OR does anyone ever just sleep outside?

Depends on the weather. There will pretty much always be extra room in someone's tent though. Also, I can bring an extra tent for you if you wish.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
