Hello and thank you for your interest in Adventure Fit!
Adventure Fit is an adventure group focused on exploring and experiencing sports and activities performed in the great outdoors. But, it is more than that. Adventure Fit is about finding your physical barriers and pushing through them. It's about exploring the outdoors with your heart pumping and your adrenaline racing like it did when you were a kid. It's about jumping off stuff, swimming in stuff, climbing onto, over, and off big things. And when you've conquered those personal barriers standing in your way, only to encounter a new set, it's about developing the strength and fitness to push through those as well.
This is not just about getting off the couch, it's about collapsing onto the couch at the end of a long hard fought day. This group is about developing the physical strength, cardio endurance, internal motivation, and the skills to explore the outdoors in ways you didn't think were possible. This group will undoubtedly evolve, as new members bring new ideas and needs, but one thing will remain constant and that is that each member must work as part of a team and must always have the desire to learn and improve.
The activities we will be scheduling will all have a range of skill levels from beginner to advanced. The idea being, that if there is an activity you wish to try out, you will have the opportunity to experience it at a beginner level, advance your skills and confidence, and eventually lead some adventures of your own. If you are already advanced in a sport, you will be more than welcome to join/lead and teach us what you know. So, all levels are welcome!
Although, events will be offered with some form of mentor-ship whenever possible, they will be led but not guided.
