Tin Mine Canyon Trail

Tin Mine Canyon Trail

Let's take a nice break from our weekly Skyline Drive hike and explore the Tin Mine Canyon Trail alongside a creek and though canopies of trees and vegetation. We start at the same location, but this time we'll hike directly into the Cleveland National Forest canyon to an old, abandoned Tin Mine, where we'll poke around, take pics, share a few laughs and then come back the way we came.

We will hike for about 2 hours and complete around 4-5 miles.

The mine is closed off for safety reasons, so don't get any ideas about going inside. But that's okay, because we'll have a good time and see plenty just getting there. And we may venture a little farther past the mine.

There is some poison oak along the trail, so you WILL have to watch your step.

Be sure to bring water, an energy snack, and either a headlamp or flashlight as it will be hot and we may be hiking back in darkness.

RSVP: Only if you are planning to attend!

Who would have thought a Tuesday evening hike in the hot and humid "jungles" of Corona would be so much fun? Great bunch of hikers, lots of good energy and an interesting hiking trail.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
