South Fork to Dry Lake 12.5 miles round trip Elevation Gain: 2400 ft Advanced

Another great conditioning hike... Maybe we'll get some rain by the time of the hike!

Trailhead:  10 east to Redlands exit University North (make a left), you will reach Lugonia in a couple of miles, where you can turn right and continue into Mentone Blvd/ Mill Creek Road.

We'll meet at the Mill Creek Ranger Station & pick up the permits & head on up to the giant Disneyland parking lot at South Fork.

Another great hike worth the long drive. It definitely felt like Fall was in the air. Very chilly morning, some very gusty wind in areas, and chilly at the lake. Fortunate to see a family of deer come across the lake bed. Just a beautiful day all around.

Rod, I'm stuck out of town and may not make it to the trail head on time. I don't want to hang you guys up. Sorry about that. Dummed I'm missing it.

Rod, I believe that if you take University North (make a left), you will reach Lugonia in a couple of miles, where you can turn right and continue into Mentone Blvd/ Mill Creek Road. Yes, you will drive through beatiful downtow Mentone, but that early in the morning even the cats are sleeping :)
