Evening Hike: Albany Bowman Park to Simpson Park (~3.5 miles)

Difficulty rating: 1 (easy)

Distance: approximately 3.5 miles

Elevation gain: negligible

Trail condition: unpaved, portions are overgrown with tree roots.

This hike gives us something old and something new. We'll start at Bowman Park and head North along the Willamette River until we run into our old standby, Simpson  Park trail. We'll take it to the end and then head back. This is an out-and-back trail with a tiny loop at the end.

The trail is mostly tree-lined, along the river.

Leashed, well-behaved pets are welcome.

Getting There:

From Corvallis: Take Hwy 20 to Albany. Cross the bridge into downtown Albany and turn LEFT onto 2nd Street. Take a RIGHT onto Main Street and then an immediate LEFT onto Salem Ave. Turn LEFT onto NE Geary. Take it to the end and park in the parking lot.

From Downtown Albany: Head East on 2nd Street. Take a RIGHT onto Main Street and then an immediate LEFT onto Salem Ave. Turn LEFT onto NE Geary. Take it to the end and park in the parking lot.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
