We will kayak, camp and socialize around the campfire. You can come for just kayaking, or camping or both. Anyone just kayaking can come for an apres paddle social and campfire singalong back at the site.
They do rent kayaks at the beach store by the hour, but not until 10:00. You should call the park for more info.
Or there is a place to rent by the day on the Mountain Rd which leads up to the park - Mountain Road Trading Post.
CAMPING INFO: Please read carefully:
Pam, Dennis, Linda and I (and maybe one or 2 others) will be camping there Friday and Sat night at the Neal's cove area, if you want to join us there are several good spots left as of today (June 30), but they fill up fast.
Sites are $30 per night plus $10 reservation fee.
I reserved #222 and Pam reserved #221 both on the water (sort of). Let me know if you get a site.
Sorry - no more room on our sites! If you didn't reserve one, you can try, but they are probably filled now. Maybe in one of the other loops!
They only allow 2 tents per site and a max of 4 adults per site, but they charge $10 per adult per night over 2 adults.
Check in time is 1:00 for campsites.
Click here to reserve your spot at Reserve America NOW! Look for Neal's cove loop.
Here's a map of the park if you haven't been there: http://www.nhstateparks.com/Maps/pawhiking.html
Enter the park at point 1 and the canoe launch is at point 3 (turn right and then right again).
Take exit 5 off Rt101 and follow Rt156 to Mountain Rd. There is a park sign there. Follow Mountain Rd to the park entrance.
