Come join us at our second Long Island North Shore Adventure Race. This year's installment will include a paddle in scenic Cold Spring Harbor, a hilly 4-mile trail run on the Nassau Suffolk Greenbelt and a challenging 4.7-mile mountain bike ride at Stillwell Woods Preserve. Anticipate a few surprises along the way as well. We'll meet at Stillwell at 7:15am to register, pickup race bibs and drop off bikes and bike gear and then get shuttled by van to Cold Spring Harbor in kayaking/running attire. Kayaks, paddles and life jackets will be provided or feel free to bring your own. After completing the kayak course, we'll run/hike/crawl south on the Greenbelt-take your pick. Once at the transition area in the preserve, we'll change into bike gear and head out on the infamous black diamond trail. Awards will be given to the first place man, woman and relay teams (2 or 3 athletes). With it being Halloween, costumes are encouraged and awards will be given to the best ones in each division. Join us at the festival after the race at Stillwell Preserve from 11:30-2pm. There will be refreshments, live music and fun Halloweenie events for the kids, so please bring out the whole family to cheer us on and to celebrate the holiday. Space is limited by the number of kayaks available and only a few spots remain, so please RSVP as soon as possible by clicking HERE. Many are already signed up and not represented on this Meetup RSVP list. Check with us for the latest count.

We have several athletes who are looking for relay teammates, so if you would like to participate, but don't want to do each discipline (kayak, run/hike, bike), we can help find you a team. Volunteers are needed. Anyone interested in helping out can register as a volunteer or contact us. Final details will be sent to all participants upon registration. Looking forward to a fun time on the water and in the woods with all our friends and family.

Although the event was creative and well organized, it was the spirited people who attended that made it a real success. If you think you had fun this year, just wait and see what we have in store for you next Halloween.

Russell, Noel and crew were absolutely amazing at the Halloween Adventure Race. While impeccably organized, the race was hysterical, leaving the participants laughing all the way to the finish line. I can't wait for the next race!
