Join us this summer for five Shakespearean plays and picnics! We will meet before each play for a little picnic (bring your own or extra for others) near the stage and to chat.  Come anytime during the picnic! Afterwards we will sit together to watch some amazing plays by The Bard!  Each play & picnic event's details will be different (time, cost, etc), so check the particular event page for which play you want to see with us.

*************This Event's Specific Details:************

“Speak of me as I am; nothing extenuate, nor set down aught in malice: then must you speak of one that lov'd not wisely but too well.”

For the first time, Shady Shakespeare will bring one of Shakespeare's most complex and emotionally vivid tragedies to the stage with the story of Othello, a brave general who is revered, respected, but never truly accepted by the people of his adopted home. Enter the treacherous Iago, who exploits this state of otherness to distort Othello's tender love for his young wife, Desdemona, and bring about his heart-rending destruction. Set in a Venice and Cyprus overflowing with all of the vibrant, clashing cultures of the Mediterranean, this production will hone in on all of the passion, betrayal, rage, devotion, and soul-crushing jealousy that have kept breathless audiences on the edge of their seats for over 400 years.

Please bring something for yourself and/or something small (enough for 2-3) to share with our group.  I will have paper plates & bowls, napkins, cups, and silverware.  If you wish to bring something to share (not required), please leave a comment with what it will be so we prevent any duplicates.

Buy tickets at:

General $15 *This is what we recommend so we can all sit together (you can always bring your own cushion).

Premium $20 (front rows & cushions)

Public parking is available at Sanborn-Skyline Park for a fee of $6.00 per vehicle. We recommend arriving no later than 6:30pm to secure parking and walk to the amphitheatre in time for the show. After receiving your parking permit, park in either the first lot on your right or the first on your left. To get to the theatre, go through the first parking lot on the right, turn right on the walking path and then left onto the next path, cross through the picnic area, down the hill, across the bridge to the stage. Just follow the flags.

Other info:

Cash donations to the performing theater company/festival, are often asked for at the end. Please consider bringing at least a few extra dollars to donate to keep this wonderful cultural experience alive in our area!

Charissa, I'm not gonna make it. I bought a ticket tho and someone else is welcome to have it. I'm home with my pup today, he has severe separation anxiety, let me know if you'd like my ticket for someone else. Thanks so much, my apologies.

Hi! Per my earlier email, I am unable to help due to the short notice of being called out of state to help with my grandmother. Michele has kindly offered to act as host for this event and will have our sign. Please look for her where the ticket table is. Have fun and let me know how it was!!!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
